Home Stager / Boutique Associate Job Description 

The Home Stager / Boutique Associate will work alongside the owner and other staff members to assist with the HER Home Design Boutique and the Home Staging Department. Below is a comprehensive list of responsibilities for the position: 

Retail Store 

The Home Stager / Boutique Associate responsibilities include: supporting managing inventory, ensuring a safe, clean and aesthetically pleasing store environment, and assisting customers. You should also be able to promptly address and resolve customer complaints. 

To be successful as an Home Stager / Boutique Associate you should have strong organizational and decision-making skills. An outstanding candidate will also demonstrate excellent interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills. 

  • Assisting the store manager in all areas of daily business operations, customer service and merchandising. 
  • Assisting with and monitoring and maintaining suitable store inventory levels. 
  • Appropriate data entry of new and current store items into the POS system. 
  • Assisting with the development of new sales and recruitment strategies. 
  • Maintaining a clean, organized and aesthetically pleasing store front. 
  • Resolving customer complaints and concerns in a timely manner. 
  • Ensuring that store policies and procedures are followed. 
  • Provide 5-7 social media posts for the Boutique per week. 
  • Other appropriate duties as assigned.

Home Staging 

As a home stager, this position is an integral part of a fast-moving team which transforms homes into remarkable living spaces for the purposes of helping real estate agents sell the home more quickly, for more. 

  • Learn the details of home staging 
  • Stay abreast of trends in the home staging industry Become intimately familiar with our staging inventory Recommend new pieces to add to the staging inventory Provide on-site home staging consultations 
  • Develop, on the spot, a staging plan to increase the perceived value of the home. The plan may include some or all of: furniture, lighting, art, accessories, window treatments, rugs, linens, painting, cleaning, repairs, and renovations, depending on the time available prior to going to market 
  • Use proven principals of staging to stage homes to sell quickly
  • Select furniture for stages according to the home’s style
  • Select accessories for stages according to the home’s style
  • Install furniture and accessories within 48 business hours for each project Write and send staging quotes 
  • Input photos and descriptions of the staging inventory into Stageforce as needed Exhibit excellent customer service skills to clients and customers
  • Maintain organized documentation of jobs for future reference
  • Provide social media posts for the home staging department as requested 

Interior Decor 

  • Stay abreast of trends in interior design and home decor
  • Advise clients on the selection of color schemes, layout, lighting, furniture, floor coverings, curtains, paint, wallpaper and hardware products (e.g. curtain fittings).
  • Assist clients with interior decor installations for their home or project
  • Provide social media posts for the home staging department as requested 

Marketing 

  • Network with Real Estate Agents, Developers, Investors and maintain all relationships on a consistent basis
  • Scour real estate sites such as realtor.com and zillow.com to search for homes that meet staging criteria and contact those agents to set up a staging consultation 
  • Use social media to share images and videos of completed home staging and home decor projects
  • Speak publicly about the benefit of staging and schedule appointments from those presentations Sell. Sell. Sell. - Schedule appointments and convey statistics and the importance of staging to close on the spot, if possible
  • Follow up, regularly, with clients while homes are actively staged
  • Provide excellent customer service to team members, clients, and vendors 
  • Meet and exceed annual sales goals Other duties assigned as necessary

Executive Director of Home Staging and Interior Decor for home staging creative Lead Project Manager for all on-site administrative functions 

Compensation

Compensation is commensurate with experience.
